Yep…. Reminds me of when I took a boyfriend back home in the early hours (in the 1960s) and my mum opened the door before I had a chance to open it and said “What time do you call this? Yoiur electric blanlket’s been on for hours!” My poor boyfriend thought he was in the company of weirdos and fled!
Gosh, I missed this at the time you wrote it, sorry. Oh, mothers! They never went to sleep before we got back from the dance. Mine used to flick the porch light on and off.
